Noveltells is an online literature reading and creation platform operated and maintained by Multibook International Publishing Group Limited (hereinafter referred to as "we," "us," or "our"). We are dedicated to building an inclusive, safe, and inspiring web novel reading and creation platform for readers and creators worldwide. This Content Guideline Policy outlines the standards and compliance requirements governing all published works, creative writing, interactive comments, and author‑submitted content on Noveltells and its associated official websites and mobile applications.

By publishing, submitting, or interacting with content on Noveltells, authors and users agree to strictly abide by this policy.

Core Principles & Global Compliance Standards

We respect creative freedom and diverse cultural expressions, encouraging authors to craft rich narrative story arcs, complex romantic plotlines, and immersive fictional worlds (including popular global tropes such as Werewolf, Mafia, Billionaire, Fantasy/Xianxia, Dark Romance, etc.).

However, because Noveltells targets a global audience (excluding Mainland China) and operates on platforms including Google Play, the Apple App Store, and global web services, all published works and User‑Generated Content (UGC) must strictly comply with international content safety regulations and global app store publisher policies.

Strictly Prohibited Content (Zero Tolerance & Removal Standards)

Any works or content containing or promoting the following categories are strictly forbidden on Noveltells. Violators will face immediate content takedowns, forfeiture of earnings, or permanent account termination:

A. Protection of Minors & Child Exploitation (CSAM)

Zero Tolerance Policy: Any explicit sexual depictions involving minors (under 18 years old), sexualization of underage‑appearing characters (age‑play), incest involving minors, or any form of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and exploitation—including fictional, anime, or fantasy representations of minor characters—is strictly prohibited. Upon discovery, Noveltells will immediately take down the content and report it to international law enforcement and child protection agencies (e.g., NCMEC).

B. Impermissible Sexual Content & Non‑Consensual Violence

Pornography: Purely pornographic descriptions or explicit graphic depictions of sexual acts/organs intended solely for sexual arousal.

Non‑Consensual Sexual Violence: Depictions of rape, sexual harassment, incest, bestiality, necrophilia, or non‑consensual sexual abuse presented in a romanticized, glorified, or encouraging context.

C. Hate Speech & Discrimination

Content that incites violence, hatred, or discrimination against, or uses derogatory slurs targeting any of the following protected groups:

  • Race, skin color, ethnicity, or national origin
  • Religious beliefs or ideology
  • Sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression
  • Disability, age, or veteran/military status

D. Gratuitous Violence, Torture & Self‑Harm

Extreme Violence: Detailed and graphic depictions of extreme physical violence, dismemberment, gore, or torture intended solely to shock or disgust readers.

Self‑Harm & Suicide: Content that glorifies, encourages, instructs, or romanticizes suicide, self‑mutilation, cutting, or eating disorders (e.g., anorexia, bulimia).

E. Illegal Activities & Dangerous Conduct

Content that instructs, encourages, or provides actionable guidance for unlawful acts, including terror planning, illegal firearms manufacturing, drug trafficking, human trafficking, money laundering, or cybercrime.

F. Harassment, Bullying & Doxxing

Organized bullying, malicious intimidation, targeted personal attacks, or unauthorized disclosure of private personal information (doxxing) targeting other authors, readers, commentators, or Noveltells personnel.

G. Intellectual Property & Copyright Infringement

Plagiarism, unauthorized translation or reposting, fan fiction that infringes upon third‑party commercial copyrights, or uploading any content without legal authorization from copyright holders.

Mature Content & Content Rating System (Tagging System)

Noveltells permits mature themes such as Dark Romance, Mafia, or Werewolf stories, provided that they are accompanied by accurate audience classifications and warning tags.

A. Mandatory Tagging Requirements

If a work contains mature elements (e.g., mild violence, dark romantic tropes, strong language, or non‑explicit adult intimacy), the author MUST:

  • Select the 18+ / Mature audience rating during book creation;
  • Apply mandatory Content Warnings / Trigger Warnings (e.g., Violence, Dark Romance, Abusive Relationship, Profanity).

B. Failure to Tag

Failing to disclose or accurately mark mature themes deceives readers and violates app store publisher policies. Noveltells reserves the right to retroactively add tags, restrict story visibility, or suspend the work.

Moderation & Enforcement Policy

Noveltells employs a comprehensive global moderation infrastructure combining automated AI keyword and natural language processing (NLP) detection, routine reviews by a human editorial team, and community user reporting mechanisms.

Enforcement Actions

Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, we reserve the right to take any of the following actions without prior notice:

  • Warning Notice: Issuing a rectification notice requiring content modification or tag additions within a specified timeframe;
  • Visibility Restrictions: Excluding the work from homepage recommendations, search indexing, or promotional ad channels;
  • Content Takedown: Deleting specific infringing chapters or taking down the entire book;
  • Financial Penalties: Withholding, freezing, or forfeiting revenue shares, contract bonuses, or pending payouts associated with infringing works;
  • Account Termination: Temporarily suspending or permanently terminating the user/author account and associated IP addresses;
  • Legal Escalation: Reporting serious illegal offenses to international law enforcement agencies.

Intellectual Property Protection & DMCA Takedown Procedure

Noveltells strictly adheres to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and international copyright laws.

If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent and believe that content hosted on Noveltells infringes upon your legal copyrights, please submit a formal written DMCA Notice of Infringement to our designated email containing the following information:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed and proof of ownership;
  • Direct URLs or exact story titles/chapter numbers on Noveltells to locate the alleged material;
  • Your full legal name, company name (if applicable), phone number, email address, and physical address;
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
